- May 4—9. 1992: Monumenta Serica Institute, in cooperation with the China-Zentrum, organized the International Symposium. It was held at Sankt Augustin and attended by more than 70 scholars from fourteen different countries.
The proceedings, supplemented with additional materials, were published in two volumes in the Monumenta Serica Monograph Series:
